Hollywood-based Real Music Records has done blues fans a big favor by
releasing Kathryn Grimm's latest CD, GRIMM AGAIN. Grimm is a triple-threat
performer (singer, writer, guitarist) whose music sizzles and pops like
charcoal-grilled hotdogs. She handles the vocals on all ten cuts, backed
up by such musicians as Leon Randolph, Billy Hulting, Jeff Swisstack and
Nono Kayzakian. Studio-produced by Grimm and Randolph, the CD highlights
the former's warm, comforting voice which she employs to good effect on
both ballads and uptempo numbers alike. Her concerns are universal: mortality,
wounded pride, joy of life, sadness for fallen friends and unrequited
love. She delves into these themes with heartfelt emotion and an infectious
blues-rock beat and vibe. Phone (877-570-8550 or visit grimmusic@yahoo.com)
